In the news this evening, Veteran politician Gen Moses Ali has been confirmed dead following hours of speculation on the status of his life at Nakasero Hospital where he was placed under Intensive Care.
The cause of death of the 87 year old politician hasn’t been revealed yet but he was first admitted at Mulago Heart Institute before being transferred to Nakasero on Thursday night.
Peak News published a story of his ill health at Nakasero Hospital where his family members had gathered but both family and government remained tight-lipped on the situation until this evening when sad news was shared on social media that the veteran politician rested at 4:25pm.
Gen. Moses Ali has served government for more than 50 years in different governments and in different positions until 2 months ago when President Museveni dropped him from cabinet due to ill health and instead appointed his son Siraj Ali as State Minister for Works.
At the time of his death, Moses Ali was a Member of Parliament for Adjumani West in Adjumani District and his party the NRM had designated him to the parliamentary committee on ICT.
