A first-year student at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) has reportedly won more than UGX 250 million from fixed games offered by Uganda Bettors Association.
The student, Mwesigwa, described the experience as a life-changing moment, saying he took what he considered a significant financial risk to subscribe to the service.
“I took a big risk to pay the subscription fee for these games, and at first, I thought I could be scammed,” Mwesigwa said.
According to Mwesigwa, he had been following the Uganda Bettors Association for some time before deciding to subscribe.
“This is a true testimony of ‘no risk, no story.’ I sacrificed my pocket money and hostel fees to subscribe to these games. If anything had gone wrong, I would probably have been in a very difficult situation. But the team delivered on what they promised,” he said.
Mwesigwa said he first came across Uganda Bettors Association during the previous football season but initially lacked the funds required to subscribe to its fixed games.
“I had been reading about Uganda Bettors Association since last season, but I didn’t have enough money to pay for their fixed games. I also didn’t want to get involved in other cheap games that would either win or lose. I was looking for something 100% sure, so I decided to save money specifically for the subscription,” he explained.
“After paying, I didn’t want to make any mistakes, so I decided to send them my stake and have them place the bet for me. They shared the ticket with me so I could see the teams that had been selected. I followed everything, and all the games won,” he said.
“I almost couldn’t believe it when I saw the money in my bank account. I was extremely excited. It was one of the biggest moments of my life,” Mwesigwa said.
Mwesigwa expressed his appreciation to the Uganda Bettors Association, saying the experience had made a significant difference in his life.
“I want to thank Uganda Bettors Association for what this experience has meant to me. I would recommend people who are interested in fixed games to join them.” he said.
